21energy introduces Föhn Pro: The world's first hair dryer with Ethereum mining capability

Innsbruck, April 1, 2026 – 21energy, manufacturer of mining-powered heating systems, today unveils a new product: the Föhn Pro. The device is a high-performance hair dryer with an integrated mining chip that uses the waste heat generated during drying to simultaneously mine Ethereum.

From heating system to personal care product

With the Ofen Pro and Ofen 2 Pro, 21energy has demonstrated in recent years that mining and space heating are not mutually exclusive. The Föhn Pro transfers this dual-use principle to a handheld consumer device for the first time. The core concept remains identical: electricity that is already being consumed gains a second purpose.

The Föhn Pro delivers 2,100 watts of drying power with a hashrate of 210 TH/s and an energy efficiency of 10 J/TH. An average eight-minute drying session generates approximately 0.0021 ETH.

Product highlights at a glance

The Föhn Pro features a Smart-Dry Mode in which sensors detect the remaining moisture in the user's hair and dynamically adjust temperature and hashrate. The device is fully integrated into the 21energy app and appears in the same dashboard as the company's existing heating products. Three styling attachments are included, among them the newly developed BlockDry™ attachment, which is optimised for maximum mining performance at reduced airflow.

Availability and pricing

The Föhn Pro is available for pre-order from April 1, 2026 on 21energy.com at an introductory price of €349 (RRP €399). Shipping is scheduled to begin in Q2 2026.
